SCHEDULED HIKES

October 2007

Quote of the month

The forests of America, however slighted by man,

 must have been a great delight to God;

 for they are the best he ever planted.

—John Muir, The American Forest, 1897

This month we introduce our new “Family Hikes” series. Each month one Saturday hike will be recommended as a family outing, denoted by the symbol JJJ.

Individuals are, of course, welcome to this and all hikes on the schedule.  The next meeting will be held on Monday, October 1st, at 7:30 PM in Ashawagh Hall. We urge you to attend to vote on the By Laws amendment.

For general information about hiking in East Hampton, go to www.ehtps.org or write to .
