August 2 , Wednesday 9 A.M JACOB’S FARM/GREEN RIVER CEMETERY ( 2.5 miles)
We will walk the scenic two miles on the Jacob’s Farm loop trail, then stop at the famous Green River Cemetery where the leader will fill us in on the history of the area. Meet at Red Dirt Road, ¼ mile from Accabonac Highway.

BYO picnic; desserts will be provided by EHTPS
August 5, Saturday 7 A.M. EARLY BIRD HIKE (2-5 miles)
If you like to rise and shine early, a brisk walk around Jacob’s Farm followed by an optional second loop in shadier, hillier Stony Hill might be the perfect way to start your day. Meet on Red Dirt Road about ¼ mile east of Accabonac Rd.

August 5, Saturday 9 A.M FLEXIBLE NORTHWEST RAMBLE ( at least 3 miles)
The mood of the leaders and the weather will determine the length and breadth of this hike. A route of 3, or 4+, or 6+ is possible, so bring liquids and snacks. Both the shorter and longer hikes feature beautiful stands of white pines. Meet at the intersection of Rt 114 and Edwards Hole Rd. in East Hampton.

August 5, Saturday 9 A.M. BIKE RIDE AND TOUR OF QUAIL HILL FARM
In addition to a guided tour of this community farm in Amagansett, we will meet with longtime shell collector Sandy Hunter; bring shells you would like to learn more about. Meet in front of the East Hampton Library. Please confirm a few days before the ride so Quail Hill will be prepared for the group. Rain cancels.

August 9, Wednesday 9 A.M. ROCKY POINT AND BEYOND (4-5 miles)
One of the best hikes in Montauk. The route goes from Navy Road to Rocky Point onto the Paumanok Path and beyond. Meet at the end of Navy Rd in Montauk. Directions: Take Rt 27 east to Second House Rd. Go north (left turn) about 1 mile. where Second House Road bears to the right continue straight ahead; follow Navy Road sign on telephone pole; cross the LIRR tracks and make a left onto Navy Rd; follow the road to the parking lot.

August 12, Saturday 9 A.M. RALPH’S LANDING (2 miles)
Good things still come in small packages. This easy 2-miler (some beach walking) has the best water views in the Northwest, including Cedar Point Lighthouse, Barcelona Neck, Sag Harbor and Shelter Island. Meet at the water end of Mile Hill Road, off Old Northwest Road in East Hampton. Leader: Gene Makl
August 16 , Wednesday 9 A.M. STEPHEN TALKHOUSE PATH (4-5 miles)
Stephen Talkhouse was proclaimed the world’s greatest walker; he was said to have walked from Montauk to Brooklyn in one day. Join us on this somewhat hilly path named in his honor. Meet at the Hither Hills Overlook off Route 27, one mile east of the Montauk Highway/Old Montauk Highway split.

August 19, Saturday 9 A.M. POINT WOODS (3 miles)
Point Woods is a “relic” forest containing the oldest and greatest variety of large specimen trees in Montauk. With some gently rolling knolls and small wooden bridges, this is a relatively easy walk. Meet on Camp Hero Rd, off Rt 27, about one mile east of Deep Hollow Ranch in Montauk. August 19, Saturday 9 A.M. BACK ROADS OF MONTAUK BIKE TOUR
This 18- 20 mile excursion will feature stories about Montauk’s history including the Carl Fisher era and visits to unusual places of interest. Meet at the Montauk Library parking lot on Rt 27 in Montauk.

August 20, Sunday 9 A.M. KAYAK PADDLE 3 Mile Harbor/Goose Creek
Nearly 100 acres of salt marsh at the end of Three Mile Harbor, Goose Creek is a maze of tidal lagoons and channels just south of Sammy’s Beach. On the way back we will visit Dayton Island, purchased last year and preserved by the Town. BYO boat or call Amagansett Beach and Bicycle () for a rental. Meet at Maidstone Park on the beach at the inlet. (Parking for out-of-towners will be granted for the morning hours.) Life vests are required .

August 23 , Wednesday 9 A.M. BUCKSKILL HARDSCRABBLE LOOP (3 miles)
This easy (flat) trail goes through a typical pine barrens forest with oaks predominant, along with stands of pitch pine and an under story of low bush blueberry. Meet at the intersection of Stephen Hands Path and Rt 114. Please do not park in the vegetable stand parking lot across the road.

August 26, Saturday 10 A.M. FRESH POND HIKE AND PICNIC ( 3- 4 miles)
Bring your own picnic lunch to enjoy in the waterside picnic area after Steve Peskin’s hike; we will provide the drinks and watermelon. Meet at Fresh Pond parking lot at the end of Fresh Pond Road in Amagansett.

August 30 Wednesday 9 A.M. LONG HOLLOW-STONY HILL (3 miles )
Jumpstart your day with a refreshing walk through the quiet mixed hardwood forest of Stony Hill. Meet near the intersection of Accabonac Highway and Stony Hill Road in Springs.
