Due to the increasing number of complaints from hikers we are no longer allowing dogs on any of the hikes.

May 1, Wednesday, 10AM: Grace Estate (2-3 miles)
Learn what a climax forest is. We will visit both, a climax white beech and a climate white pine forest on this hike.

Meet at the intersection of Northwest Rd. And old Northwest Rd. In East Hampton.

May 4, Saturday, 10AM: Money Pond (4 miles).
On this inaugural hike we will meet at Point Woods on Camp Hero Rd., on the south side of Rt. 27, one mile past Deep Hollow Ranch. We will hike to Turtle Cove on to the Seal Haulout, do some beach walking and then back to our starting point.

May 5, Sunday, 10AM: Paumanok Path Part IV (8 miles)
Moderately fast paced hike, with some interpretive stops. Bring lunch and liquids. Meet at the intersection of Cross Highway and Cranberry Hole Rd. (just over the Cranberry Hole railroad bridge, east of Amagansett).

May 8, Wednesday, 10AM: Cedar Point Park (3 miles)
Meet in the park off Alewife Brook Rd., in the Northwest section of East Hampton. Continue to the parking area, next to the pavilion across from the camp grounds.

May 11, Saturday, 10AM: Shadmoor (3 miles)
As we walk near the great ocean we will have the presence of a surprise guest speaker. Meet at the Ditch Plains Beach parking area in Montauk. Town parking permit necessary. Call to car pool.

May 12, Sunday, 10AM: Paumanok Path Part V (5 sandy miles)
Cross Napeague Beach on this moderately fast paced hike. Warning: hikers should be prepared for ticks and the possibility of wet conditions. Snacks and water recommended. Meet at the intersection of Cross Highway and Cranberry Hole Rd. (just over the Cranberry Hole railroad bridge, east of Amagansett).

May 15, Wednesday, 10AM: Fresh Pond (3-4 miles)
We are going to hike on the Paumanok Path from Napeague Harbor Rd., skirting the Walking Dunes, by Fresh Pond and finishing up at the Montauk Overlook. Meet at the Hither Woods Overlook off Rt. 27.

May 18, Saturday, 10AM: Grace Estate (3-4 mile)
This hike will offer something for everyone. The combination of forest, shore and hopefully dogwood trees in bloom will be a springtime delight. Meet at the School House Plaque on the Northwest Rd. About 3/10 mile from the intersection with Alewife Brook Rd. In the Northwest section of East Hampton.

May 19, Sunday, 10AM: Paumanok Path Part VI (4 1/2 miles)
Hike from downtown Montauk to Indian Field on the surprisingly picturesque Montauk Parkway Trail. Moderately fast pace. Bring snacks and water. Warning: hikers should be prepared for tics and the possibility of wet conditions. Meet at the parking area of Third House in Theodore Roosevelt County Park (north side of Montauk Highway (Rt. 27) approximately four miles east of Montauk hamlet).

May 22, Wednesday, 10AM: Waterfence (5-6 miles)
This stunning hike takes on the Serpent's Back Trail and along the shore to the Waterfence overlooking Napeague Bay. Meet at the Hither Hills Overlook parking lot off Rt. 27, about 1 mile east of Montauk Highway and Old MontaukHighway split, in Montauk.

Saturday, May 25 10AM: Buckskill Loop (4 miles)
Enjoy a beautiful nature experience on a basically flat terrain. Meet on Wainscott Northwest Rd. (Daniel's Hole Rd.), where the power lines cross the road, just north of the East Hampton.

May 25, Saturday, 10AM: Montauk (10 miles)
This magnificent hike features woods, vistas and beaches of Montauk. This will be a moderately fast paced hike and hikers should be prepared to complete the entire hike. Please bring sun screen, bug repellent, lunch and water. Meet at Camp hero Rd, south of Rt. 27, about 1 mile east of Deep Hollow Ranch, in Montauk.

Sunday, May 26 10AM: Paumanok Path Part VII (5 miles)
Montauk's newest trail caps this delightfully scenic hike. We will leave the PP east of Oyster Pond, and continue to Montauk point by way of the new Money Pond Trail. Moderately fast pace. Bring snacks and water. Warning: tick protection is a necessity on this trail. Meet at Montauk Point State Park parking area (upper lot).

Note: parking fee is charged.

Wednesday, May 29 10AM: Lone Grave Road
Experience the grandeur of the most majestic stand of white pines on Long Island. Meet at the intersection of Swamp Rd. And Bull Path in East Hampton's Northwest.
