Saturday, March 3 (3 to 4 miles) l0:00 AM: Millers Ground

This hike over the rolling hills of Wainscott features large areas of Mountain Laurel This somewhat hilly hike is becoming one of our favorites.  It offers old, yet small oak trees and a serpentine trail to enjoy. Meet on Wainscott Northwest Road (also known as Daniel’s Hole Rd.) and the Power Line Rd. north of the East Hampton airport.

Wednesday, March 7 (3 miles) l0:00 AM: Gerard Drive

Enjoy a beach and road walk with views of both Gardiner's Bay and Accabonac Harbor. At the end of this beautiful hike we are all invited to the home of our hike leader where warm goodies will await us. Meet at the first causeway on Gerard Drive.

Saturday, March 10 (2 1/2 mile) 1:00 PM: Seal Haul-out

If conditions are right we will observe these interesting creatures sunning themselves on the rocks. For this round trip, walk through a Maritime Forest; dress warmly against the Block Island Sound winds. Meet at Camp Hero Rd., a right turn off Rt. 27, about a mile east of Deep Hollow Ranch in Montauk. Remember to bring binoculars.

Sunday, March 11 (3-4 miles) l0:00 AM: Springs/Stony Hill

Join us on this hike and learn about little known trail linkages between The Springs and Stony Hill woodlands. Meet on Red Dirt Road, about 200 yards east of the intersection with Accabonac Rd.

Wednesday, March 14 (3-4 miles) 10:00 AM: Panorama

This hike takes us by Split Rock and Laurel Canyon then followed by a stunning panoramic view of Napeague Bay. Meet at the Montauk Recycling Center on the north side of Rt. 27, about 2 miles west of Montauk Center.

Saturday, March 17 (3 to 4 miles) 10:00 AM: White Pine Forest

Experience the grandeur of the most majestic stand of white pines on Long Island as we also view beautiful Chatfield's Hole and Two Holes of Water. Discover the secret of Jason's Rock and visit the grave site and next to last resting-place of Young Benjamin Hubbard. Meet at the intersection of Swamp Rd. and Bull Path in East Hampton's Northwest.

Wednesday, March 21(7+ miles) l0:00 AM: Seal Haul-out Plus

This seal watching hike will takes us out to the seals, a walk on the beach then to the concession stand for a snack, around Montauk Point and through the woods. Meet at Camp Hero Rd., a right turn off Rt. 27, about a mile east of Deep Hollow Ranch. Remember to bring binoculars.

Saturday, March 24 (3-4 miles) 10:00 AM: Big Reed Pond

Enjoy many beautiful water views of Big Reed Pond, including a Registered Natural Landmark. Meet at the parking area off Eastlake Drive, about 2 miles north of the intersection with Rt. 27 in Montauk.

Wednesday, March 28 (4 miles) 10:00 AM: Hither Woods

This stunning hike takes us up Serpents Path, to Block Island Sound, along the shore to the Waterfence, overlooking Napeague Bay and past Fresh Pond. Meet at the Hither Hills overlook parking lot off Rt. 27, about 1 mile east of Montauk Highway and Old Montauk Highway split in Montauk. Leader: Ed Porco


Saturday, March 31 (4-5 miles) 10:00 AM: Stony Hill

This new loop combines the farm and landfill area of the Paumanok Path, a trail through the

Peconic Land Trust's recently acquired Potter Preserve, and picturesque Stony Hill Road.

Meet at the corner of Stony Hill Road and Accabonac Road.
